I consider myself a lifelong student, eager to learn and experience anything that will broaden my knowledge and allow me more information to pass on. My greatest passion is helping to better the lives of people. I enjoy being able to play a part in their lives by offering healing therapeutics, thus helping them feel better mentally, emotionally, and especially physically. I also believe that encouraging them to be the best person they can be is a vital aspect on the journey to better health. For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by muscles; their structures, functions, everything about them. Massage therapy allows me to fulfill my passion of helping others obtain a healthier life.
On the professional side of things... I graduated from Alexandria School of Scientific Therapeutics in June 2008 with a degree in Swedish Massage Therapy and Pfrimmer Technique Deep Muscle Therapy. While in school, I learned many techniques, including (but not limited to) : Deep Tissue Massages, Swedish Massage, Therapeutic Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Chair Massage, Pfrimmer Deep Muscle Therapy, Raindrop Technique, Active Isolated Stretching, Isolated Joint Therapy, and Honey Facials. I am a member of the American Massage Therapy Association, licensed by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency, and a member of Natures Sunshine Products.
I have worked as a Certified Professional Massage Therapist and muscle specialist for nearly 10 years. Immediately following college graduation, I began working at Lyon's Chiropractic Health & Rehab in Fort Wayne, Indiana. From Dr. Perry Lyons I was trained in Trigger Point Therapy, Trans-Fiber Friction Therapy, and proper weight-training etiquette.
I currently work as an Independent Contractor in the office of Dr. Scott Johnson in Bluffton, Indiana. Here, I am able to use all of the modalities in which I have been trained. I am continually learning new and better ways to help my clients.
Personally, I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Mitch for almost 10 years. We are proud parents to two little people, one boy and one girl. We have a dog that seems to complete our family. I enjoy crafting, reading, exercising, the outdoors, and traveling. I strive to lead a Christ-centered life, and I believe the Ultimate Healer has given me a truly wonderful gift to share with His children.
I love my work, and I can honestly say there is no other job I would rather have. Please feel free to "Contact Me" with any questions!
